COLUMBIA Updated 4:40 p.m. - Police have charged a second man in connection to last week's fatal shooting on Madison Drive.
Prosecutors charged Devontre Deshawn Kennedy, 23, along with Darold Pruitt, 43 for second-degree murder.
They have also been charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and second-degree assault.
Shamya Nichole Brimmage died Wednesday from wounds sustained in a shots fired incident.
She was one of two women suffering gunshot wounds when Columbia police responded to two separate shots fired reports.
Witnesses told officers Pruitt's SUV was at the scene of the double shooting, as well as at the scene of a shots fired call. Police said they searched the SUV and found shell casings that matched the caliber of bullets used in the shooting.
Kennedy and Pruitt were in police custody when the arrest warrants were issued.
