UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Shots Fired at Albert-Oakland Aquatic Center
COLUMBIA - According to the Columbia Police Department, officers arrested 28-year-old Cedric Barnum, the suspect in Monday's shots fired incident in the parking lot of the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center. Officers arrested Barnum Thursday around 3:50 p.m.
Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said investigators from the department were able to reach Barnum on the phone and he agreed to turn himself into police at the 1000 block of North Garth.
Officers arrested Barnum for unlawful use of a weapon with bail set at $4,500 and armed criminal action with a to be set bond. Barnum allegedly waved a gun and shot it during an agrument between a group of about 15 people on Memorial Day in Oakland pool's parking lot. No one was injured during the incident.
The department said the incident is still under investigation.
