UPDATE: Young boy found in Moniteau County after being reported missing
MONITEAU COUNTY - A boy has been found in Moniteau County days after he was reported missing, the sheriff's office confirmed Wednesday.
Grayson Darnell was reported missing at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 29, when police believe Julie Darnell, Grayson's non-custodial parent, took him from his grandparents' household and left the residence.
Both Grayson and Julie Darnell were located Wednesday, after Julie Darnell flagged down a concrete truck driver and asked for a ride. The driver stalled Darnell and called 911.
Moniteau County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene and located both Grayson and Julie Darnell.
Grayson was taken to a local hospital, and was later released with no apparent injuries. Julie Darnell was taken into custody and is awaiting possible new charges in the Moniteau County Jail.
