Verizon Expands Horizons
"This is unchartered waters for Verizon. We're big in Kansas City. We're big in St. Louis. We're just pretty much bridging the gap between the two major cities," said Matthew Johnson, Verizon store manager.
Thanks to new cellular towers from Fulton to Concordia, customers can now stay on the Verizon network all the way between Kansas City and St. Louis.
"Until today, Verizon Wireless customers in mid-Missouri haven't been able to take advantage of the numerous options that come standard on their phones, like downloading music and sending pictures. But now they can and they're very excited," said Johnson.
Cingular Wireless, which has about a million more customers nationwide than Verizon, said it welcomes the competition.
