Vikings Roll Back a Tradition
Offensive captain Ryan Ross added, "We're just going to keep rolling. Valley roll."
Players now have a crystal-clear view of a conference championship for the first time in 7 years.
"Get the seniors the ring," said defensive captain Reggie Singletary. "I'd be lying if I didn't say I already had a ring finger picked out."
The Vikings' success this season has the football tradition back in swing at Missouri Valley. In the 1940s, the Vikings won 41 straight games.
"Missouri Valley football. This is us. We're here. We're hopefully going to continue this in the future. And we're just going to bring back all the tradition this school has to offer," said Singletary.
The Vikings' next game is at 1:30 p.m. this Saturday against Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.
