Vinyl Renaissance sells out of all Prince records Friday afternoon
COLUMBIA — After the passing of music icon Prince on Thursday afternoon, sales rose at Vinyl Renaissance record store. By Friday afternoon, the only thing left in the store was posters from Prince’s new album, “Hit n Run.”
There were no price increases due to his passing.
While mourning the death of a highly admired musician, fans were able to tell stories and discuss their love of music together. Soha said this made the day much easier.
"I remember watching him, knowing that 'Oh, Prince is gonna be on.' But I had no idea how amazing that performance would be," said Soha, reminiscing on his memories of the musician.
He grew up listening to Prince and believes he will live on through his fans.
