WAYNESVILLE - Pulaski County deputies found a man with severe stab wounds to his head after what they described as a domestic fight.

It happened Thursday morning at a home on Swindell Drive. When deputies got there, they found the injured man, as well as a woman with a knife wound on her hand.

Medics took the victim to a hospital near Springfield for treatment. Deputies took the woman into custody and moved her to a hospital in Lebanon for treatment. Authorities said she would go to the Pulaski County jail after her release.

The Pulaski County sheriff said a detective is expected to ask for charges of domestic assault and armed criminal action against the woman.
