Wentzville Lawyer Indicted For Three Bank Robberies
ST. LOUIS - A Wentzville lawyer previously charged with robbing a Warren County bank now faces federal criminal charges for three bank heists and the shooting of a Missouri state trooper.
Sixty-four-year-old Warren J. Gladders was indicted Wednesday in St. Louis for an early June robbery of a Reliance Bank branch in Creve Coeur; an early August robbery of a First National Bank in Saint Charles County; and a September robbery of the First Bank in Dutzow in which he was also charged in state court.
Gladders is accused during the most recent robbery attempt of wounding a state trooper, who only survived thanks to his bulletproof vest.
The Washington University law school graduate owns a St. Louis County dry cleaning equipment company. His law license has been inactive since last year.
