COLUMBIA - Now that a Boone County judge has declared a mistrial on two of the three charges against Brian Adkison, KOMU 8 News looks at the other charges Adkison still faces in five other Missouri counties.

Adkison's pending criminal charges begin in August 2012 in Clay County where he is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle in Kansas City. Court records indicate Adkison failed to appear for a hearing in the case set for June 20, 2013, just five days after he's accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfiend.

Also in Clay County, court records say Adkison violated his probation in a driving with a revoked/suspended license case. That case has been suspended, and there are no court dates scheduled.

June 2013 marked the start of a string of criminal activity he's accused of, which is all related to the alleged kidnapping and rape of his ex-girlfriend.

Prosecutors charged Adkison in Carroll County for a June 14, 2013 incident of tampering with a motor vehicle.

The next day, June 15, Adkison is accused of kidnapping, domestic assault and violation of a protection order in Caldwell County. Court documents say police responded to reports of a possible missing person. The report says the victim left her residence to go for a run and walk her dog. The statement goes on to say Adkison then unlawfully took the victim without her consent while she was walking on Tom Creek Road in Caldwell County. It says she jumped out of the truck he was driving and he picked her up and put her back in the truck. It then says the victim found a screwdriver and stabbed Adkison in the neck.

On June 17, 2013, Adkison is charged with tampering with an airplane/motorboat, burglary, resisting arrest, theft and property damage in Camden County.

Four days later, on June 21, 2013, he is charged with burglary in Morgan County.

Finally, on Aug. 11, 2013, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said Adkison escaped from the county detention center and damaged jail property. Court documents say Adkison knowingly escaped while in custody for a felony. The report says he forcibly broke through the ceiling of his jail cell.

Adkison was on the run for weeks until authorities captured him Sept. 4 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, which is near Cleveland.

Adkison's scheduled next court date is January 13 in the Caldwell County case, which is now being heard in Livingston County after a judge granted his change of venue request. The pretrial conference will address the crimes he's accused of committing there, including kidnapping, domestic assault and violation of a protection order. A trial date in that case is set for Feb. 5 and 6.

On March 2 of this year, Adkison is due to make a plea or the court would set a trial date on the escape and damage to jail property charges from August 2013.

A retrial on the rape and deviate sexual assault charges in Boone County is still also a possibility.
