Wife of Man Killed in Home Depot Accident Remembers Her Husband
MEXICO - Kenneth Baker, the man who died in a tragic work-place accident in Home Depot, leaves behind a wife and four young children.
Jennifer Baker told me that in the nine years she and Baker had been together they had only spent 4 days apart.
She said his death hasn't fully set in yet and she keeps expecting him to come home.
"And now I'm just trying to make it day to day. With the girls. And his dad (Kenneth Baker's father). His dad's just lost. Just like me," Jennifer Baker said.
Kenneth Baker's counsin, Kevin Baker, described Kenneth as a hard worker, but a careful worker.
"He didn't try to cut corners. He did everything the right way," Kevin Baker said.
Jennifer Baker also said she was finding it difficult to explain the death to their young children. She said her oldest daughter is only 4 and doesn't fully understand.
"She asked me the other night if I missed daddy and I said 'of course I did and she said me too,'" Jennifer Baker said.
A fund has been started to raise scholarship money for Kenneth's children.
Home Depot said it would match whatever money is raised.
