Wilson Leads Tigers Through Big 12 Championship
TRINITY, TX -- Mizzou Men's Golf closed out the final round of the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship Sunday. The Tigers earned an eighth place finish, scoring 312-301-300-296-1209 through four rounds. Texas A&M (+13) took first at the tournament followed by Texas (+16) and Texas Tech (+31). The Tigers finished ahead of Kansas State (+75) and Kansas (+94).
Nick Wilson tied for 11th in the Championship as he finished the tournament 8-over-par. Wilson finished at even par in the fourth round and recorded two birdies on the day. Junior Jace Long and freshman Ryan Zech were not far behind as they tied for 24th place. The two finished the tournament 15-over-par, and Long closed the third round 5-over-par. Zech shot 3-over-par in the fourth round of play as well.
Closing out the tournament 19-over-par, Emilio Cuartero tied for 33rd in the tournament. Cuartero had his best showing in the fourth round as he recorded three birdies for even par. Adam Rosenthal finished the fourth round 8-over-par as well.
