BOONE COUNTY - With triple digit temps coming the next few days, the Boone County fire protection district is asking residents to use caution when burning.

Residents of unincorporated Boone County are allowed to burn natural vegetation and household trash.

The fire protection district suggests burning in the morning and avoiding burning when winds exceed five miles an hour.

It also asks residents to burn small amounts at a time and keep a water source nearby. Boone county residents are urged to avoid burning whenever possible.
