Woman taken to hospital after single-vehicle crash
COLUMBIA - A woman was taken to University Hospital Friday night following a single-vehicle crash in northeast Columbia, Columbia police Sgt. James Meyer said.
The crash happened on Brown Station Road between Gene Drive and the Highway 63 overpass.
Meyer said police are investigating the crash and would not confirm if the woman injured was the driver or if there was another occupant in the vehicle.
Meyer said the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He said as of Friday night, police did not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Columbia Water & Light workers were on the scene conferring with police and repairing a utility pole, but workers would not confirm if their presence was related to the crash.
