ST. LOUIS -- After finishing the season with a 5-3 record in American Midwest Conference play, the William Woods University women's soccer team earned the No. 4 seed in the 2012 AMC Postseason tournament and will play No. 5 seed Lyon College on Friday in the first round.

The Owls and Scots finished the season level on points, with WWU earning the better seed with its 2-1 win over Lyon last Saturday. Kickoff for the game is set for 6 p.m. The other first round game announced by the league office features No. 3 seed Hannibal-LaGrange and No. 6 seed Missouri Baptist University.

The Owls return to the postseason for the fourth consecutive season under head coach Randy Hall and look to return to the semifinals for the third straight year. WWU finished the regular season with a 9-7-1 mark and won three of their last four contests to close out the year.

Park was named the No. 1 seed after claiming the regular season title. Although the Pirates still have a makeup contest against Benedictine University at Springfield, their 7-0 record (9-6 overall) in league play is good enough for the top spot as Columbia College finished the season at 6-2 in the league and went 9-9 overall. Hannibal-LaGrange finished one point in front of WWU and Lyon with a 5-2-1 record (7-8-2 overall) to claim the third seed, with Missouri Baptist rounding out the year at 3-4-1 in league play and 6-11-1 overall.

Pairings and kickoff times for Monday's semifinal round games will be announced following Friday's first-round matchups
