First Alert Forecast

TONIGHT

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6am tomorrow morning. A fairly quick moving winter system is expected to bring even more snow accumulation to Mid-Missouri. North of interstate 70, snow will be the primary factor. Another inch to two inches of accumulation is possible. Light icing is not out of the question. South of interstate 70, 0.10" of ice is possible as well as a dusting of snow.

SUNDAY

Some light snow flurries may linger past Sunday morning and into Sunday day. Morning road conditions will likely be quite slick, especially on untreated surfaces and bridges and overpasses. Stay safe and give yourself extra time if you must drive Sunday morning. Throughout the day temperatures will warm up into the mid 30s, allowing roads to start melting. However, overnight some roads that have not dried could refreeze as temperatures drop back into the upper 20s.

MONDAY (President's Day)

A mix of sun and clouds will bring the return of dry conditions for Monday. High temperatures will be about 10 degrees below average, only reaching the lower 30s.

TUESDAY

Tuesday day will be mostly cloudy and dry, with the next winter weather system bringing snowfall by the evening hours into Tuesday night.

More accumulation is possible from this next winter weather system.

WEDNESDAY

This winter weather system is expected to make its way out early in the day on Wednesday, with mostly cloudy conditions remaining the rest of the day.

END OF NEXT WEEK

While the beginning of the week was much below average in terms of temperatures, a slight warm up is on tap as we head into the weekend. High temperatures return to the 40s by the weekend.
