Sunshine continues through the early part of the week as high pressure develops over Missouri. While temps are still very cold for Monday, warmer air moves in Tuesday and temps will jump out from the 30s and to near 50!
Clouds are back Wednesday and it is ahead of a new storm system that will bring rain over much of the state Wednesday night - Friday morning. As of now, temps appear to remain above freezing during this event leading to rain as our main precip. type. However, western Missouri could be near freezing by Friday morning leading to a rain/snow mix near Kansas City.
Heavy rain appears possible at times, especially on Thursday where average rainfall amounts are around 0.50", but a few isolated areas could receive as much as 2.00" of rainfall through Friday.
Weekend weather will remain quiet with near normal temps and passing clouds. Temps will range from the 20s in the morning, and the 40s for afternoon temps.
