First Alert Forecast
Winter weather is possible tonight into Sunday morning. We have placed our Storm Mode Index at a 1 (out of 5) due to the potential of snow for areas along and north of I-70 and a light winter mix for areas south of I-70. Well south of I-70, rain is possible. Areas south of I-70 could see a mix of rain and snow including a brief period of freezing drizzle, but due to warm ground temperatures impacts to travel will be limited. Patchy slick spots on bridges and overpasses will be possible. Areas along and north of I-70 will mainly see snow with a dusting to 1" possible, any accumulation will likely stay on grassy surfaces. We will keep you updated.
This system will exit as we go through the day Sunday with highs climbing into the upper 30s with mostly cloudy skies. A few peeks of sunshine are possible before sunset.
Thanksgiving week is expected to start off sunny with temperatures on a warming trend through most of the week. By mid-week seasonal temperatures make a return.
