COLUMBIA - The first meeting of the new year for the University of Missouri System Board of Curators is February 2-3. Pamela Henrickson will be joining the board as a voting member. Henrickson was appointed by Governor Nixon in August of 2011 but was approved by the Senate Wednesday.
Henrickson is a graduate of the University of Missouri Law School and is partner at a Jefferson City Law Firm. She also involved with the Missouri and American Bar Associations, Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce and the Mizzou Alumni Association.
Now that Henrickson has been confirmed the board will have at least 7 of it's 9 members ready to vote at the first meeting on February 2. Judy Haggard resigned on January 17 and says it was because of personal reasons. Craig Van Matre has not been approved by the state senate and if he is not approved by February he will not be able to vote. The board plans to discuss tuition increases on all four campuses at their first meeting.
