Arrest Made in Connection to Downtown Shooting
The Columbia Police Department has made an arrest in connection to the early morning shooting that occurred in downtown Columbia on earlier this month.
Police arrested 20-year-old Eric Cravens Wednesday afternoon.
Cravens was arrested after officers stopped him at 3500 Clark Lane.
Cravens was arrested for three counts of 1st degree Assault and one count of Armed Criminal Action.
Sergeant Joe Bernhard said information from two witnesses gave the detective on the case probable cause to find the suspect.
"He relayed that information to the street crimes unit who then, today at 4:13, found Mr. Cravens, stoped him on a traffic stop and arrested him for the shooting."
Cravens' bond has been set at $300,000.
