COLUMBIA - Parents and members of the Columbia Police Department reacted Monday to Columbia's third shooting outside a restaurant in just more than a week.

At around 7:00 p.m Sunday, shots were fired outside Chuck E Cheese's, striking the building. Police arrived at the scene and found 6 to 8 casings and 3 bullet holes outside the restaurant. Police said surveillance video showed a man who was the apparent target of the shooting fleeing from outside the building. No one was hit by the gunfire.

In a written statement Chuck E. Cheese's management said, "Chuck E. Cheese's top priority is the safety of our guests. This is an unforeseen incident that happened outside our store and we are thankful no one was seriously injured. We are cooperating with local police in regards to the situation."

On Monday it was business as usual at Chuck. E Cheese. Parent Amy Stegemen said, "It's not the location, it could have happened anywhere."

Columbia Chief of Police Ken Burton urged victims and witnesses to come forward about the recent shooting. He asked anyone with information call Crimestoppers at 573-875-TIPS.
