COLUBMIA - Missouri senior Marcus Denmon is one of fourteen finalists who will be battling out for Team USA's twelve spots in the World University Games. Denmon tweeted on Sunday morning say, "Made the USA team, ready for our practice later this evening. Hard work, pays off."

"I think it's a great group," said USA and Purdue University head mentor Matt Painter, who previously assisted the 2009 USA U19 World Championship Team to a gold medal. "We have a lot of balance. I think on the interior we have some shot-blockers, we have some athletes, guys that can really go and get the basketball and some real good shooters. We have some good, interchangeable parts, and a lot of talent, both returning talent and young. I'm really excited about the mix we have."

The other finalist joining Denmon are Tim Abromaitis of Notre Dame, Ashton Gibbs of Pittsburgh, Draymond Green of Michigan State, JaMychal Green of Alabama, Scoop Jardine of Syracuse, John Jenkins of Vanderbilt, Orlando Johnson of UC Santa Barbara, Greg Mangano of Yale, Trevor Mbakwe of Minnesota, Ray McCallum of Detroit Mercy, Darius Miller of Kentucky, Aaric Murray of West Virginia and Shabazz Napier of Connecticut.
