AUXVASSE - Auxvasse Police Department Chief Kevin Suedmeyer filed a report to the Prosecuting Attorney's office under fraud in the Second Baptist Church ownership case.

Doris Brooks sold the church to Pastor Toby Hanson and his wife Michele about a month and a half ago. Carolyn Lewis, whose family went to church at Second Baptist, however, said Saturday she hasn't been able to find proof that Brooks had the rights to sell the property.

Suedmeyer left Lewis a message saying that the Hansons' title insurance and warranty deed check out fine, but he didn't understand why Brooks went out of state to Texas get some of the paperwork done.

Lewis also organized a rally Saturday for supporters to gather and pray about the situation.

The Hansons have issued an ex parte on Lewis for stalking and adult abuse. The Hansons cite protesting in the church parking lot, giving media false information and showing up at the Hansons' home and lying about her identity as reasons on the ex parte.

Michele Hanson said Saturday that while she does not feel any physical threat, she was advised that the people she was dealing with are "unsafe."

Lewis said she will appear in court on Nov. 1 in regards to the ex parte.
