Four Tigers Earn First Team Big 12 honors

COLUMBIA - Friday morning, the Missouri Tigers will hold their first practice in prepartion for the Independence Bowl against North Carolina December 26th.

Four Tigers: two on offense, and two on defense earned first team all Big 12 honors from the Associated Press.

Running back Henry Josey rushed for nearly 12 hundred yards this season. The sophomore from Angleton, Texas led the big averaging about 118 yards rushing per game. He suffered a season ending knee injury against Texas November 5th.

Senior tight end Michael Egnew from Plainview, Texas earns all big 12 honors. Egnew made 47 catches for 484 yards and three touchdowns.

Senior defensive tackle Dominique Hamilton from El Paso, Texas, made 55 tackles, including three sacks. He recovered two fumbles, deflected passes against Texas A&M and Texas Tech, that sealed Tiger victories in both games.

Sophomore E.J. Gaines an All Conference performer in his first year as a starter. Gaines gained recognition with two interceptions and 16 pass break-ups, in addtion to 69 tackles.
