BOONVILLE- Details bridal shop in Boonville is donating wedding gowns to military brides to-be. The store teamed with Brides Across America, a charitable organization that gives qualified military brides a free, dream wedding gown.

Deana Dreyer is one of the store owners. She says deployment, tours of duty and money can all hinder brides from having their dream wedding so this is just one way they can give back.

"You know it's not fair that those who serve us should have to sacrifice their dreams because they can't afford it,"Dreyer said, "so this is a way to help them out a little bit"

Nicola Saunders and her future husband both drove the distance from the Kansas City area to snag up a free gown.

"I think its great that services offer the military people a place to go to you know be able to afford an opportunity to have dresses so they can have a nice wedding," Saunders said.

Details bridal shop is the only one in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas that is participating in the Brides Across America organization. They will be giving away the free gowns through the end of Monday, July 18.
