Jefferson City holds vigil for missing liberty runner

JEFFERSON CITY - Members of the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson city held a prayer vigil Wednesday evening for missing 30-year-old Chad Rogers.

Rogers recently moved with his wife and son from Jefferson City, where he was a church leader, to Liberty to be closer to his family.

Various church members said they came to the vigil to pray for Rogers, and they hope he is in good health.

Church administrator, Jerry Kelly, said Rogers is a special person. 

"Chad was the type of person who could light up a room from the moment he walked in," Kelly said. "A very gregarious personality, a very passionate personality. He had a passion for kids and a passion for his family."

Rogers still has not been found, after he went missing around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
