COLUMBIA - Construction seems to everywhere, and it is expanding yet again.

On Monday, June 9, several construction projects will start across Mid-Missouri.

MoDOT is closing the southbound on ramp from Broadway over Hominy Creek. The ramp will close at 7 p.m. and is scheduled to reopen Thursday morning on June 12.

East Ash Street in between Saint James Street and College Avenue will experience street closure. This is due to workers installing a new 54-inch drainage system below Ash Street. The work is set to start in the morning of June 8 and will continue until July 7.

Maries County will also feel the effects of construction due to bridge replacement. The project requires closing Route C.

"While the project will require closing Route C at the bridge, we'll do everything we can to minimize closure," MoDOT project engineer Dennis Krenning said in a press release

The bridge is scheduled to reopen August 1.
