One Injured in Shooting at Columbia Break Time

COLUMBIA - Columbia Police tell KOMU 8 News a 33-year old man was injured in a shooting Thursday evening in the Break Time gas station parking lot at the intersection of Business Loop 70 and Garth Avenue. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Columbia Public Information Officer, Sergeant Joe Bernhard told KOMU 8 News that detectives found several shell cases and a small amount of blood.

The victim was taken to University Hospital and detectives were sent there shortly after. 

As of 6:30 p.m. Thursday, there was not a definite suspect description.

KOMU 8 News is working to find out more details about the situation.
