COLUMBIA- Columbia's annual Roots N' Blues N' BBQ Festival will be held at Stephens Lake Park this year. The new location is only one of many changes made to the event.

This year the event is extended to three days of music, food and fun instead of two.

The festival does not offer any on-site parking but a shuttle will be running from downtown to the park all weekend. Shuttle passes can be purchased at every shuttle stop for $5 and online here.

The shuttle will begin its loop 30 minutes before the gates open and will stop running one hour after the music ends. It will pick up at two different parking garages on Walnut Street and three different parking garages on Cherry Street. Parking is free in all garages downtown.

Festival Coordinators are also encouraging people to walk and bike to the event. Coordinators say the walk is about 1.5 miles from downtown to the park. Festival coordinators are also providing a secure bike parking lot for bikers.

Columbia Police will be closing down streets to prepare for the festival as well. Parts of Highway 63 and East Walnut Street will be one-way only. A complete diagram of the road changes is available here.

The gates are expected to open around 4 this afternoon and festivities will begin around 5. Tickets are available online or at the door.
