Royals fans strike out looking for World Series newspaper
COLUMBIA - Mid-Missourians trying to get their hands on a piece of baseball history ran into trouble Thursday morning.
Fans have cleaned stores out of the Kansas City Star's front page dedicated to the Royals first World Series berth in 29 years.
KOMU called three Hy-Vee's, Barnes and Noble and one Break Time but they were all sold out.
Employees at the Break Time on Nifong said fans have asked if more copies were going to be sold but the answer was 'no'.
Royals fans that didn't get their hands on the paper are still in luck. The Kansas City Store is selling the Thursday edition of the Kansas City Star for $5.
