SEDALIA - The latest round of winter weather left some Sedalia-area hardware stores without ice melt Monday night.

"We had 10, 11 pallets full of 50 pounders this morning and sold out of them," said ACE Hardware manager Zach Trauschke.

That was story around town. Menards, Lowes, and Orscheln also said they were cleaned out.

Trauschke expects his store to get more salt by Thursday. Residents may have not other option but to dig their way out.

"[Shovels], that's going to be the rush tomorrow," said Trauschke.

The latest weather models as of Monday night show the first snow fall of the new storm could fall in the Sedalia area Tuesday morning.
