In a neighborhood off of South Grand Ave., almost every home suffered property damage. Fallen power lines and trees littered yards and rested on houses. Police blocked access to the South Grand neighborhood after residents complained of sight seers taking pictures of damages, and getting in the way of recovery efforts.

Between 15 and 20 people were reported injured in the tornado, all minor injuries.

The Sedalia Public School District's bus barn was flattened in the storm, which left school officials scrambling to figure out how to get kids home. The school district decided to cancel classes for the rest of the year.
