Summer Brings business for the Lake of the Ozarks
OSAGE BEACH - After months of scarce activity, Memorial Day weekend brought business to the Lake of the Ozarks and Osage Beach.
Small Business owners in Osage Beach depend on the three primary summer months for the majority of their yearly revenue. J.D. Geasley, owner of Randy's Frozen Custard, said 30% of his yearly revenue comes in the month of July alone. He described the winter months as "horrible."
Many of the businesses on the lake look to Memorial Day weekend to gauge how their summer business will be. Ryan Werner, owner of Wake Effects in Osage Beach, said this has been one of the best Memorial Day weekends he's had in several years.
