Suspect in Columbia VFW shooting arrested

COLUMBIA - The suspect in September's shooting at Columbia's Veterans of Foreign Wars Post was arrested on Friday afternoon.

According the police reports, Columbia officers took 20-year-old Louis Lee Green, Jr. into custody after failure to appear for a warrant in connection to the shooting. 

Court documents state that Green, Jr. is charged with four counts of first degree assault and one count of armed criminal action.

On September 5, Green, Jr. allegedly fired a gun from the VFW parking lot toward the building and injured three women and one man. 

Green, Jr. is being held in the Boone County Jail on $500,000 cash only bond.
