COLUMBIA – It wasn’t a white Christmas, but many took advantage of Friday's warm weather.

Meg Gray walked her dogs around Stephens Lake Park late in the morning.

“We enjoy it more because it’s really nice weather out and it’s sunny,” said Gray.

With a high of 51 degrees, the weather required lighter jackets than usual.

“It’s really nice because I’m not bundled up to the forehead and everything,” said Gray.

Others at the park walked, ran and played on the playground. Several families took the opportunity to take photos.

Gray said she is spending the rest of Christmas at a friend’s house.

“We’re going to a friend’s and they have a bunch of dogs so the dogs will be playing in the backyard quite a bit probably,” said Gray.
