FULTON - Five Westminster College students shaved their heads to help raise awareness about cancer.

Brier Skogsberg, Christian Moulton, Victoria Reyes, Dalton O'Donnell and Nathan Kaag, donated their hair to various organizations including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and breast cancer research.

"I'm so excited, I feel like a kid going to Disney World," Skogsberg said.

Skogsberg's hair will be donated to Pantene's Beautiful Length Program and will be turned into a wig.

Westminster held the event in Coulter Atrium of the Science Center on the college campus. Approximately 60 people attended to show support.

Together the students raised more than $2,000.

This is the first public Brave A Shave event held on the college campus.
