Woman hospitalized after single-car crash on U.S. 63

BOONE COUNTY — A woman was hospitalized after crashing her car on Highway 63 Saturday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Oyundari Batsaikhan was sent to University Hospital with minor injuries after going off the road near Minor Hill Road. 

The Southern Boone County Fire Protection District, Boone County Fire Protection District, Boone Hospital Center Ambulance, University Hospital Ambulance Service and Missouri State Highway Patrol were all dispatched at 1:26 p.m. after the driver of an 18-wheeler called for help.

MSHP said Batsaikhan's car flipped at least once and paramedics had to use the jaws of life to get her out of the car because she could not move.

Officials said Batsaikhan's car was the only car involved in the crash. She was the only person in the car at the time of the accident. 

Highway Patrol said Batsaikhan was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
