First Alert Forecast
Skies will be mostly cloudy with temps slowly rising and holding in the lower 40s. There is a chance for drizzle and sprinkles by lunchtime and the afternoon. More likely chances for scattered showers will continue this evening and tonight with temps holding in the upper 30s.
A spring-like rainy day is expected. It will be windy with widespread rain and thundershowers passing throughout the day. With the combination of melting snow and around 0.50" rainfall Saturday, some areal flooding is expected as the ground is too saturated to absorb rain this weekend.. Temps will rise into the mid to upper 50s, with some areas south of I-70 briefly reaching 60 degrees. A passing front Saturday evening will drop temps into the 30s before midnight.
Sunshine will persist through much of the day. It will be WINDY with gusts between 40-50 mph possible, especially in the morning.. High temps will be colder, only reaching around 40 with lows in the 20s.
Colder air will push in day-by-day before culminating in a potentially well-below-average first weekend of March. The week looks dry for most of the week with only a slight chance for snow on Thursday.
